The Novar Fishings, in conjunction with the Cromarty Firth Fisheries Board and SEPA, is now participating in the Anglers' Monitoring Initiative, by monthly monitoring of invertebrate populations; a key indicator of the health and water quality of our river.
The Anglers' Monitoring Initiative, is part of the Riverfly Partnership, a network of nearly 100 partner organisations, representing anglers, conservationists, entomologists, scientists, water course managers and relevant authorities, working together to:
- protect the water quality of our rivers
- further the understanding of riverfly populations
- and actively conserve riverfly habitats
